We are always happy to hear from players interested in joining us (either regularly or occasionally) and currently have vacancies for a trombonist and a job-share drummer.  Please find details on our Join Us page if you are interested.

The Roy Bailey Big Band has been playing to audiences in and around the Oxfordshire area for over 20 years.

Based in the village of Goring in South Oxfordshire, the 18-piece band is made up of keen local musicians in a typical big band line-up of trumpets, trombones, saxes and rhythm.  We are joined regularly by our wonderful male and female vocalists and play a broad range of jazz standards and beyond to suit all tastes.  We perform 6-8 times each year in a mix of  public concerts/charity events/private bookings (see our Gig dates pages to see where you can catch us) and please do feel free to contact us if you are interested in booking the band for private functions, weddings or corporate events.

We are always happy to receive enquiries from musicians interested in playing with us, either regularly, or when you can, and currently have vacancies for another regular trombone player (we currently have three).  We rehearse Thursday nights in Goring (although for social distancing reasons we are currently rehearsing in Cholsey) and if you are interested in coming along to play, please see our Join Us pages for more information.
